How do I order a custom portrait?

Pick the product you want, hit "Upload Your Pet", and send us your favorite photo. Add to cart, check out, and we'll handle the rest. You'll see an artwork proof by email within 24–48 hours before anything gets printed.

What kind of photo works best?

A clear, well-lit photo where you can see your pet's face and markings. A few tips:

  • Daylight is your friend — avoid heavy flash
  • Eye-level is better than from above
  • Higher resolution = more detail in the final piece
  • Don't worry about background — we remove it

Can I include more than one pet?

Yes — up to 4 pets in a single portrait, and it's one of our most popular options. Select the pet count on the product page and upload a photo of each one. They don't need to be in the same photo.

What animals do you illustrate?

Dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, horses, birds, reptiles, exotic pets — if it's yours, we paint it. We've drawn axolotls, snakes, and one very photogenic chicken.

Can I add a name or special date?

Yes — most products have a "personalization" field at checkout. Add a name, date, or short message. If you forgot to add it, just reply to your proof email with the text you want.

Artwork & proof process

Will it really look like my pet?

Absolutely. After checkout we create an artwork proof for you to approve before we print. You can check your pet's markings, eye colour, ear shape, and little quirks — and request a revision if anything needs tweaking. Nothing prints until you say yes.

How many revisions do I get?

Unlimited revisions until you love it. Reply to your proof email with what you'd like changed — colour of the collar, ear position, anything — and we'll send a fresh version usually within 24 hours.

When do you start illustrating?

Right after checkout. Our artists pick up new orders every weekday morning, and most proofs land in your inbox within 24–48 hours.

What if I don't reply to the proof email?

expand_more

No worries — we send a friendly reminder after 48 hours and again after 5 days. If we don't hear back in 14 days, we print the proof as-is so your order doesn't sit forever. Check your spam folder if you haven't seen the proof.

How long does the whole thing take?

From order to door: 7–10 business days within the EU, 8–14 to the US, 10–15 to the rest of the world. That covers 24–48h for proof + 2–3 business days production + tracked shipping. Full shipping breakdown here.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — EU, UK, Nordics, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and most of Asia. Shipping is calculated at checkout with full tracking on every order. EU orders are VAT-inclusive; outside the EU, local import duties may apply.

Can I get it by a specific date?

For Mother's Day, Christmas, birthdays — order at least 3 weeks before the date for EU, 4 weeks for the US, and leave a note at checkout. We'll prioritize production. If you're close to the wire, message us first and we'll tell you honestly whether we can make it.

Where's my order?

Check the tracking email we sent the day your parcel shipped (it'll be from the carrier — DHL, PostNord, or local). If tracking stalls for more than 48 hours after the first scan, or if it says "delivered" but isn't, email hello@snuggleprints.com and we'll dig in.

What if I'm not happy with what I receive?

Tell us within 30 days of delivery and we'll either reprint, replace, or refund. The piece is custom-made so we can't restock it — but our promise is simple: you don't pay for something you don't love. Full returns policy.

Can I order for a pet who has passed away?

Yes — our Memorial collection is designed for this. We handle these orders with extra care, slow the timeline if you need us to, and include a handwritten note in the parcel. Many of our customers tell us it helps them feel their pet close again.

How do I care for my portrait?

  • Canvas & framed prints: dust with a soft dry cloth. Keep out of direct sunlight to preserve colour.
  • Apparel (hoodies, t-shirts, totes): wash inside-out at 30°C, hang to dry, don't iron directly on the print.
  • Mugs: dishwasher safe on a gentle cycle, but hand-wash extends the life of the print.
  • Pillows & blankets: spot clean or machine wash cold, tumble dry low.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Klarna (pay later or instalments in the EU), and Shop Pay. Everything is processed securely via Shopify.

Is checkout secure?

Yes — every order is processed through Shopify's PCI-compliant, encrypted checkout. We never see or store your card details.

Do I need to create an account?

No — you can check out as a guest. If you create an account you can re-order easily, save addresses, and track all your orders in one place.

Do you offer discounts for multiple pets or orders?

Yes — bundle discounts kick in automatically at checkout (10% off your second piece, 15% off three or more). For bulk gifts (5+ portraits, perfect for vet clinics, breed clubs, or corporate gifts), message us for a quote.
